  • General presentation

By booking a service on the website www.gaelmaelletravel.wordpress.com the client agrees to respect the following conditions.

The services offered are outdoor walking tours of the city of Trondheim or hikes with a local guide in the language the customer has chosen. 

The services can be found on the website :  https://gaelmaelletravel.wordpress.com/nos-visites/ 

Entrances to tourist buildings/museums are not included with our services. In addition, the company is not allowed to guide inside tourist buildings/museums.

  • Booking

In order to book a service, the customer must contact the company via the website or email to determine the type of service desired as well as a date and time. The customer will then receive a confirmation of the booking by email.

If the customer does not receive your booking confirmation within 24 hours, please contact the company directly by email: gaelmaelle.travel@gmail.com / contact .

  • Payment

Two types of payment are accepted: 

  • Cash: In Norwegian kroner, Euros or US Dollars, to be paid on site before the start of the service according to the price indicated. The customer must be aware to have the correct amount because the company doesn’t have the change
  • Bank transfer: Payment before the service to the account provided when contacting us

Payment by credit card is not possible.

    • Lateness & No-show

    If the customer is going to be late, this must be communicated as soon as possible (before the beginning of the tour) to let us know the location. After the message the guide can wait up to 10 minutes after the starting time. Without any news from the customer, the tour will start at the scheduled time and he will be considered as no-show. No-shows are not entitled to a refund or any kind.


    If the customer has strict time obligation this must be communicated when making the reservation. If the company is notified less than 24 hours in advance it will not be taken into account by our team.

    • Cancellation

    In case of cancellation by the customer, this must be communicated at least 24 hours before the start of the service. If the payment was made in advance by bank transfer and the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the service, the costs will not be refunded. 

    In case of cancellation by the company, it will be communicated as soon as possible, at least 24 hours before the start of the service. If fees have been paid by the customer, these will be refunded. 

    • Weather and safety issues

    Norwegian weather can sometimes be unpredictable and the services take place outdoor. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide clothing and footwear suitable for the weather conditions. The company will always do what is necessary to keep the customer in good safety conditions. Therefore, the company keeps the right to refuse/cancel a service in the case of : unsuitable clothing, dangerous or agressive attitute, any kind of racism or discrimination.

    In the event of an injury / accident occurring during the service, the company cannot be held responsible.

    Minors remain under the responsibility of their legal guardian. 

    The hikes are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. 

    The city tours are relatively flat. However some parts of the city centre are covered in cobblestones, it is the client’s responsibility to take this into consideration if there is any difficulty in getting around. 

    • Litigation 

    In the case of a complaint, please contact the company directly in order to find an amicable agreement and/or a solution. 

    If you have a complaint about this mediation, please contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority. The Norwegian Consumer Authority can be reached by telephone on 23 400 600 or at www.forbrukertilsynet.no .

    The EU complaints portal can also be used if the customer wishes to file a complaint. This is particularly relevant if the complainant is a consumer domiciled in another EU/EEA country. The complaint can be filed here http://ec.europa.eu/odr .

    In any case, we ask that you kindly give us the opportunity to resolve the problem before contacting a complaints committee.

    • Coming into force

    These general conditions are applicable from 17/03/2024 and will replace the previous general conditions from this same date.
